Jah Frequency - (mp3 Download, 96k)
JAH KINGS' 1995 Debut Album
After years of experiencing an almost ritualistic hazing from a staunch section of the Reggae Community, while steadily making headway in the national tour circuit, in 1995 JAH KINGS debuted their first full-length studio album, Jah Frequency. The album featured the Funk, Jazz, and Soul flavorings of Kofi’s upbringing in Gary, Indiana, while demonstrating a genuine dedication to Roots Reggae and Culture.
Songs like “Prejudice”, “El Salvador”, and “Babylon” highlighted Kofi’s ability to compassionately speak on hard truths in a way that even some of the most critical protectorates could not deny.
“When I first heard this band, they were trying to get it right. On this album, they got it right!”
~Elder Papa Pilgrim, of Reggae Ambassadors Worldwide
